Although Egypt was a desert, Egyptians settled near the Nile River and they were able to grow everything they needed to eat.

There were many types of crops that Egyptians planted: flax, onions, leeks, corn, wheat, barley, cabbages, cucumbers, beans, lettuce, figs, melons, pomegranates, vine plants. Many types of trees that were fruit bearing.
The Egyptians used wheat to make the bread that everyone ate and barley was used to make beer, so wheat and barley were the common crops then.
Although the flax plant grew naturally, the Egyptians included it as part of their crops as they used it to make the linen for their clothes.

The Nile floods were doing the most work of the ancient Egyptian agriculture, but the people still needed to work the land they made some special tools in order to make their work in the land more easy like the Egyptian Hoe and Sickle, Pitchfork and Sieve, and El Shaduf.

The Ancient Egyptians ate vegetables most of the time because of the high cost of the meat at that time, and it was very hard to keep it eatable for a long time as there was no concept of refrigeration.
The meat was primarily reserved for nobility & the wealthy and the royal family and the public was eating meat on festivals and special occasions.
Goats, poultry, cattle, lambs, and sheep were mostly used for meat and the nobles were usually hunting antelopes.
Pigs were regularly eaten in Lower Egypt, and the most common food of the lower classes was fish.
